The Zotra Fitaratra project enters a phase of acceleration

As part of the presidential project to renew the urban and suburban bus fleet, the Malagasy government has decided to purchase diesel buses.

Some of these diesel vehicles will be assigned to the Zotra Fitaratra line, the first modernised bus line in Greater Antananarivo, which will run along the Iarivo ring road. This line is being developed as part of the Antananarivo Taxi Be modernisation project, for which Codatu is providing technical assistance.

This decision will speed up the implementation of the line. In conjunction with the public authorities, Codatu is actively contributing to several aspects of the project, including:

* The selection of the line operator;

* Supervision of road design studies and the depot platform;

* Preparation of the launch communication campaign;

* Finalisation of technical and contractual studies: public service delegation contract, training programme, maintenance organisation, etc.

The launch of the Zotra Fitaratra line will be an important step in the modernisation of public transport in Antananarivo.
