The African Paratransit Fair postponed to a later date: paratransit remains at the heart of CIMDC 2026

The 1st African Paratransit Fair, initially scheduled for 20–21 October 2026 in Abidjan, has been postponed to a later date.

Paratransit will nevertheless remain a key focus in Abidjan! A dedicated Paratransit Pathway will be featured as part of CIMDC 2026, providing opportunities to continue discussions on the modernisation, digitalisation, professionalisation and integration of this essential urban transport sector.

On the programme:

🔹 Monday 19 October, 18:00–21:00: Paratransit Ecosystem Evening, at the Mövenpick Hotel. A networking event bringing together companies, programme leaders, public authorities, funders and transport operators. By invitation only.

🔹 Tuesday 20 October, 09:00–10:30: Workshop “Digitalisation of Paratransit”, in the San Pedro Room. Discussions and recommendations on digitalising operations, monitoring and regulation across different transport modes.

🔹 Tuesday 20 October: Pitches “Modernising Paratransit”, at the CIMDC Pitch Corner Area, showcasing solutions for the modernisation of paratransit.

🔹 Tuesday 20 October, 17:15–18:45: Workshop “How to Give Paratransit Its Added Value?”, in the Chandelier Room. Discussions on governance, stakeholder integration, low-capacity modes and demand-responsive transport.

🔹 Wednesday 21 October, 11:00–12:30: Agora on Structuring Paratransit: Lessons Learned, in the Chandelier Room. Sharing experiences and lessons learned on how paratransit operators can better structure their activities.

This dedicated pathway will bring together public authorities, operators, businesses, experts and partners to exchange ideas and explore solutions for the future of paratransit.
