SOTRACO-SA (Société de Transports en Commun de Ouagadougou) was created in 2003 following the bankruptcy of the two previous public transport companies. The company, which is majority owned by private shareholders, currently operates Ouagadougou’s urban bus network, which consists of 12 lines.
