MobiliseYourCity: second training session for 13 Moroccan cities on MRV-GHG methods on urban transports

Following the first training session intended for managers in the transport sector, a new session on MRV-GHG methods on urban transport to 13 Moroccan cities was held in Rabat.

The Moroccan Minister of the Interior (DGCL), the MobiliseYourCity Partnership, the French Environment & Energy Management Agency (ADEME) and the consulting company I Care and Consult organised in Rabat a second training session to territorial executives in charge of urban mobility and environment issues. The session gathered around forty attendees, all committed in the MobiliseYourCity Initiative for sustainable mobility, and representing the relevant 13 Moroccan cities (Rabat-Salé-Temara, the Great Casablanca, Oujda, Kenitra, Khouribga, Marrakech, Agadir, Beni-Mellal, El-Jadida, Fès, Safi, Settat, Khemisset).

The meeting was organised in three modules:

– climate financing and MRV-GHG methods as eligibility criteria
– urban mobility and air quality
– MRV-GHG inventory to facilitate decisionmaking: international and Moroccan experiences
