Launch of the Master II Transport and Sustainable Urban Mobility in Rabat, Morocco

The courses have just begun in the new Master II “Transport and sustainable urban mobility” in Rabat, resulting from the partnership between CODATU, the National Institute of Planning and Urban Planning (INAU),
Senghor University, and CNAM Morocco .

They will take place on weekends, twice a month, until the end of 2018. The group of about fifteen participants is essentially composed of high-level Moroccan professionals, already working in Ministries, local authorities, urban agencies, or at the University.

The opening day of 25 November was notably introduced by the representatives of the Moroccan partner institutions (Director of INAU, Ministry of Territorial Planning and Urban Planning, Ministry of the Interior), who confirmed the importance of this Master to face the local needs of expertise in the management of urban mobility in Morocco. It was then devoted to the theme of the articulation between planning and mobility planning, with interventions by Mohamed Hanzaz on the case of Rabat (head teacher of the Master at INAU), Bernard Rivalta on the case of Lyon (Vice-President CODATU), Franck Speck on the Tram Rabat (Director of TRANSDEV Rabat), and Jean-Jacques Helluin on international cases (Executive Manager of CODATU).

The continuation of the courses will be ensured by a combination of local and international actors. It should be recalled that this concept of Master could not exist without the financial contribution of the Club of partners (currently SNCF, RATP, Transdev, Keolis, Artelia, Iveco Bus, Transitec) which makes it possible to attribute scholarships to the students, to propose subjects memory or internships, and sometimes intervene directly in the training.
