International cooperation took centre stage at a reception organised by Codatu at the French Embassy in Abidjan!

On the sidelines of the International Conference on Sustainable Mobility and Climate (#CIMDC2026), Codatu organised a reception at the French Embassy in Côte d’Ivoire, bringing together its members, partners and numerous institutional figures committed to the development of sustainable urban mobility.

The evening began with speeches by His Excellency Jean-Christophe Belliard, French Ambassador to Côte d’Ivoire, Ronan Dantec, President of Climate Chance, and François Durovray, President of Codatu.

We were also honoured to count amongst the guests Amadou Kone, Minister for Transport and Maritime Affairs of Côte d’Ivoire.

🤝 Meetings and discussions to strengthen cooperation

This reception brought together representatives from public institutions, transport authorities, international organisations, local authorities, businesses, and technical and financial partners.

In a friendly atmosphere, there were numerous and enriching exchanges, providing an opportunity to continue the discussions begun at the #CIMDC2026, to share experiences and initiatives, and also to explore new avenues for collaboration.

Beyond the conference sessions, this evening highlighted the vital importance of dialogue, networking and partnerships in collectively advancing sustainable mobility projects in Africa.

A big thank you to the French Embassy for hosting the event, and to all Codatu members and partners present for the rich exchanges!
