CODATU Round Table during French National Congress on Public Transport

The
25th National Congress on Public Transport in Lyon (France) from September 30th to October 2nd 2015.

GART and UTP are organizing the 25th National Congress on Public Transport in Lyon (France) from September 30th to October 2nd 2015. It will gather all the stakeholders involved in mobility: elected members, operators, transport departments, institutionnals, contractors, scholars, State departments, journalists… The main topic of the congress will be “Optimizing Urban Transport ressources”, real challenge to improve the economic balance and maintain the quality of service. Debates and plenary sessions will try to bring solutions and new perspectives for the sector.

International cooperation: is it possible to accelerate the transition towards sustainable mobility in developping cities?

The 30th of September CODATU organizes a roundtable from 17h00 – 18h00

Between 2000 and 2050, the growth of greenhouse gas emissions from the transport sector will be 90% due to the contribution of developing countries. Urban planning and mobility policies promoting multimodality in favor of public transit and active modes modes can enable emerging cities to structure a sustainable urban model. What actions can be taken to encourage the implementation of such policies? How to share know-how associated with the French experience in urban transport?
