Codatu in Abidjan – FEXTE AMUGA / Codatu / AFD – Training in Data, GIS and Strategic Analysis

As part of the FEXTE Abidjan initiative – a partnership between AMUGA, CODATU and AFD funded by the French Treasury – a training session focusing on transport supply data management, geographical information systems (GIS) and analysis was held last week in Abidjan for AMUGA teams, facilitated by Transport for Cairo.

This training aimed to strengthen AMUGA’s technical capabilities in the collection, structuring, enhancement and use of mobility data, with a view to making it a genuine tool for public decision-making. It also provided an opportunity to explore in greater depth the use of mapping tools and forward-looking analytical approaches to support mobility planning in Greater Abidjan.

Conducted in a spirit of collaboration and the sharing of expertise, this session gave rise to rich and constructive exchanges with participants, illustrating the strong commitment of AMUGA’s teams to these strategic issues.

CODATU is delighted with the success of this training and thanks Transport for Cairo, as well as the participants, for their commitment and the quality of the work carried out.

Sustainable capacity building is an essential pillar for supporting AMUGA’s growth. CODATU remains fully committed, alongside its partners, to continuing this momentum in the pursuit of more integrated, efficient and sustainable mobility in Abidjan.
