CODATU at the 14th World Conference on Transport Research (WCTRS) – 10-15 July 2016 – Shanghai (China)

The World Conference on Transport Research has been held every three years since 1977. The 14th World Conference will be held 10-15 July 2016 in Shanghai, China at Tongji University, which will host the Conference at its main campus. The WCTRS Young Researchers’ Conference will take place on 10 July 2016.

The aims of the conference are to offer a unique opportunity to bring together experts in all aspects of transport research, from all parts of the world and to stimulate the exchange of ideas in the broad field of transport research.

CODATU as a main partner of the conference

CODATU will be involved in three different events:

  • CODATU is organizing a special session on “CODATU to HABITAT III : Implications for research for better accessibility and mobility in the field of urban mobility and transport in developing countries
  • CODATU will chair the WCTRS Young Researchers’ Conference on “Transport Innovations for Mobility and the Environment” on Sunday 10th of July. Within the framework of the same conference, Ms. Lorenza Tomasoni will present a paper on “An international benchmarking on SUMP guidelines : focus on developing countries“.
  • CODATU will also chair a session on the Topic Area H5Urban Transport in Developing Countries, for which CODATU is the leader and has received more than 300 papers this year;

CODATU will also take this opportunity to organize a meeting of the PSTC (Permanent Scientific and Technical Committee) for the purpose of preparing CODATU XVII Conference.

New Ad-hoc sessions open till June 17, 2016

One of the main aims for WCTR 2016 is to stimulate discussion among delegates, and so for the first time this year the organisers will organize an “Ad-hoc Session” which will be open to ALL delegates to present. In this “Ad-hoc Session” all delegates will have the opportunity to present their work and items to discuss at a booth. No abstract is required, and no full paper. For more information, click here.
