Best wishes for 2017

2017 is a very important year for CODATU as:

  • the next CODATU Conference will take place from 4 to 6 November 2017 in Hyderabad, as a joint event with Urban Moblity in India Conference and Expo organized by the Institute for Urban Transport and the Ministry of Urban Development. We expect you to be part of this event which will gather indian transport experts community and urban transport international experts.
  • At COP22 in Marrakech, MobiliseYourCity turned to implementation phase. As the first Countries and Cities have been selected and the support from donors is available, MobiliseYourCity funding partners (ADEME, AFD, CEREMA, GIZ and CODATU) will start to accompagny Cities and Ministries involved in Low Carbon Urban Mobility Strategies. CODATU will be part of Management and Coordination Unit based in Bruxelles and we will contribute to sub-programmes in Morroco, and Cameroun (and even more soon!).
  • Moreover, 2017 will be a critical year for the Technical Cooperations in which CODATU is involved as a coordinator. With AFD’s support, CODATU will continue to accompany Tunisian Ministry of Transport, Peruvian Ministry of Transport and Communication, Kochi Metro Rail Limited and soon Egyptian Ministry of Transport in implementing sustainable urban mobility policies. These Technical Cooperations give opportunity to CODATU to be represented in several cities around the world (see the map below).
  • In September 2017, a second Master Program will be open in Rabat (Morocco) in partnership with Senghor University, CNAM and Morrocan National Institute for Planning Urbansim (INAU). CODATU pursues its effort to enhance capacities in the field of urban mobility in Africa. The call for applicants for the master program in Lomé is now open!

In 2016, CODATU activities have shown a promising dynamism and we thank all our partners for their support and trust.
