Codatu alongside African urban mobility authorities in Abidjan!

On Monday 19 October, the 4th General Assembly of the African Association of Urban Mobility Authorities (AUMA) took place, bringing together urban mobility authorities from several African cities and their partners.

This meeting provided an opportunity to review the association’s activities, define its future strategic direction and discuss issues relating to governance, funding and the integration of paratransit into public transport systems.

Codatu spoke at this General Assembly to present the International Conference on Sustainable Mobility and Climate(#CIMDC2026) and to discuss two potential areas of collaboration with AUMA members:

🔹A memorandum of understanding between Codatu and AUMA aimed at strengthening their cooperation.
🔹The Abidjan Declaration, designed to set out a shared vision for improving urban mobility across the African continent.

An important step towards strengthening synergies between stakeholders committed to the development of sustainable and accessible urban mobility in Africa.
