Tribute to Michel Laramée

Michel Laramée, born in 1947, passed away on 13 April 2026. A graduate of the École des Mines, he devoted his entire career to the public passenger transport sector.

In particular, he served as Managing Director for France at the Keolis Group, Operations Director and subsequently Director of the urban and suburban network in Nancy, Managing Director of the Compagnie Générale Française de Transports et d’Entreprise (CGFTE), and Technical and Commercial Director of the Connex Group. He also held network management positions in several African capitals, contributing to the development of urban transport internationally.

Michel Laramée was one of the founders of CODATU. He played a key role in its creation and development. His most recent role within the association was that of Treasurer, a position he held until 2017.
