Codatu in Abidjan – FEXTE AMUGA / CODATU / AFD – AMUGA development mission
As part of the FEXTE Abidjan project – a partnership between AMUGA, Codatu and AFD, funded by the French Treasury, aimed at supporting capacity building and the structuring of public sector bodies – the ESPELIA consortium – SYSTRA – BPL has just completed its mission to support the development and structuring of AMUGA, the transport authority for Greater Abidjan.
This mission has enabled the definition of the foundations for a target organisation in the short and medium term, the clarification of roles and responsibilities, and the identification of training and tools to strengthen AMUGA’s capacity to steer, regulate and coordinate transport stakeholders.
Carried out in close collaboration with AMUGA’s teams, this initiative forms part of a broader drive to restructure the urban transport sector in Abidjan, with a view to creating a more integrated, efficient and sustainable transport system.
Codatu is delighted with the success of this mission and would like to thank all partners and stakeholders for their commitment and the quality of the discussions throughout the mission.
The operational implementation of this vision is now a key step for the coming months. Codatu remains fully committed to working alongside AMUGA to support this process.
