Codatu Abidjan – Publication | Mobility Governance in Greater Abidjan

In a context of rapid urbanisation and with major transport projects on the horizon, mobility governance is a key issue for Greater Abidjan.

This article, produced by Codatu – which has been working on the ground since 2021 alongside AMUGA as part of the FEXTE technical cooperation programme (AMUGA / AFD / Codatu) – analyses the existing institutional dynamics and the main challenges relating to stakeholder coordination, the distribution of responsibilities and the coherence of public policies.

In particular, it offers:

🔹 an overview of the institutional stakeholders in mobility

🔹 an analysis of current governance mechanisms

🔹 suggestions for strengthening the coordination of transport systems

This publication forms part of Codatu’s work in support of local authorities to develop more integrated, efficient and sustainable mobility systems.
