On 19 October 2026, the scientific and academic community will gather in Abidjan for a full day of debates and interactive workshops dedicated to sustainable urban mobility in African cities.

Across 10 thematic sessions, researchers, PhD candidates, academics and training professionals will be invited to share their research, experiences and perspectives on the major mobility challenges facing African cities.

The key outcomes of these discussions will be formalised in a series of position papers, which will contribute to the debates held during the International Conference on Sustainable Mobility and Climate and the African Paratransit Fair on 20 and 21 October.

The conference is reserved for professionals involved in urban mobility research and training who can provide proof of affiliation with a university, research centre or training institution.
