ATF 2015

“Sustainable
Transport for an Integrated Africa”

The first African Development Bank Transport Forum will take place on the 26th and 27th of November 2015 at the headquarters of the African Development Bank, in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, under the theme “Sustainable Transport for an Integrated Africa”. The Forum is a key moment to share best practices and experiences, promote research and development, and stimulate continental business and professional networking. It will bring together high level government representatives, experts, development partners, international organizations, the private sector, academia, NGOs and other selected stakeholders.

How do we facilitate the movement of people and goods for increasing producer and consumer markets in Africa? How do we facilitate reliable, safe, sustainable and inclusive travel, both locally and internationally? These questions are at the heart of our two days of debate and discussion, which will be animated by more than thirty high-level speakers.

Through the prism of regional integration and national connectivity, the speakers will also highlight the new challenges faced by the continent, through the following five thematic topics:
• Innovative Financing
• Sustainability
• Regional Integration and International Connectivity
• Urban Transport
• A Demand for Commitment to Road Safety

These topics will form the basis for the five plenary panel discussions and nine parallel sessions, detailed in the following program.
