Decentralized cooperation - 2003 Lyon (France)

Topic of the seminary : "Cooperation and Regional transport "

In line with the creation of the International Association of French-speaking regions, CODATU, the Association "Cooperation for the Continuing Development of Urban and Suburban Trnasportation", organized on Friday 20 June 2003, with the support of the Rhone-Alpes region, of the CNTT "Centre National des Transports Terrestres", and of the CNAM "Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers", a first workshop on the topic "Cooperation and Regional Transports".

The aim of this seminar was to start on the preparatio of a methodological guide for local authorities that wish to develop decentralized cooperation in the field of urban and suburban transportation.

The statements on the field enabled to throw light on fundamental questions :
how to identify the needs, organize the actions, and set up the means ?
how to carry out and follow the actions (institutional, technical, and financial aspects) ?
how to assess the results ?
