FIRST TERRITORIAL SITTING ON URBAN MOBILITY

The Ministry of Infrastructure, Land Transport and Disenclavement, through the Executive Council of Urban Transport of Dakkar (CETUD), plans to organize, in collaboration with the Association of Mayors of Senegal (AMS) and the Program of Policies of Transport in Africa better known by the acronym SSATP, the first territorial meeting of urban mobility, on December 4th and 5th, 2017. CODATU will participate in this event, the aim of which is to define strategic orientations and concrete actions accompanied by a firm commitment of stakeholders to the advent of sustainable mobility for harmonious urban development and a competitive national economy. After the Mayors’ session presenting their visions of sustainable mobility, their expectations and their commitments, 3 main themes will be discussed:

  • Sustainable governance of urban mobility;
  • Intermodality, mass transport and climate change;
  • Sustainable financing of urban mobility.

200 participants composed of experts and luminaries, at national and international level, among which CODATU, will share their knowledge and experiences with Senegalese actors of urban mobility.
